• Delhi high court to hear case of seized royal gold

  The erstwhile royal family of Jaipur has approached Delhi high court to claim nearly 800 kg of gold seized by the Central government during Emergency. The case came up for hearing on Friday, following a petition from Bhawani Singh, eldest son of late maharaja Sawai Man Singh II. In the petition, he challenged the order of Gold Control Administrator (Delhi), 1980 that justified the seizure.
