Deaths on railway tracks down by 4.72% in 2009
February 8, 2010 07:15:52The Pune division of the Central Railway witnessed about 4.72% reduction in the deaths on railway tracks during last year compared to 2008. During 2009, the Pune division recorded 685 deaths on railway tracks, less by 34 compared to 2008. In 2007, GRP had registered 389 deaths. The Government Railway Police (GRP), Pune has registered the deaths under its jurisdiction comprising Pune, Solapur, Satara, Sangli, Kolhapur and Ahmednagar districts.
